On February 21 to February 22, the Physics Olympics took place in the Dallastown Area High School, with the first place winning team, “Infinite Entropy,” on top.
The Physics Olympics is an accumulation of topics and practical applications learned in physics classes used in competitions and challenges that students can compete in even from other schools.
Spring Grove was able to come out in third place for the Physics olympics proving any schools has a winning chance
In preparing for the event there is the option to create a song or video, designed by participants, for the event to help with challenges. The event consisted of designing a capacitor out of aluminum foil and making an electromagnet as strong as possible.
With other events to participate in, everyone was just enjoying being there. “To be honest I was just happy to be there,” Says Dominique Baker, one of the winning participants for second place team, “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.”
What’s the best part of this event though? Any student is able to join.
