Outside of Starbucks after just purchasing a Spicy Strawberry Acai drink.

While food industries are trying new concoctions to keep customers interested and satisfied, you’re either going to love them or hate them.

What seems to be all the rage are new spicy food and drink items.

Burger King, KFC, and Starbucks are just a few of the companies that have released these new items on their menus.

Recently, I tried the Spicy Starbucks drinks and to say they are interesting is an understatement.

They took three old refreshers, the Strawberry Acai, Dragonfruit, and Pineapple, and put their own Spicy Chili Powder blend into each of the drinks.

For each drink, I took a sip straight from the top of the lid, and then I put a straw through the lid hole and tried the drink from the bottom of the cup.

The first one I had the opportunity to try was the Spicy Dragonfruit drink.

The first sip from the lid was very hot. I think this was because there were clumps of the chili spice sprinkled on the top, which I’m not exactly sure if this was normal.

The sip from the straw at the bottom of the cup was a little more mild of a taste, but still strong nonetheless.

From the first few sips, my mouth was on fire, but the drink slowly started to grow on me.

While the regular Dragonfruit drink isn’t my favorite refresher, I definitely like it better with the chili powder.

I then tried the Spicy Strawberry, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I think companies are experimenting and releasing spicy items because it’s on trend and it gives people a reason to talk about their company more; especially if it’s unexpected like Starbucks.

The first sip through the lid was significantly less hot than the first sip of the Spicy Dragonfruit drink.

It also looked like there were no clumps on the top of the drink of the chili powder blend, which I think made more mild.

I had the same experience with the Pineapple refresher, it was a lot less spicy than the Dragonfruit drink.

While you could still taste each refresher, the chili blend did mask most of the flavor.

If I had to rank the drinks in order, I would say that the Strawberry drink would be my number one, the Dragonfruit drink would be my second favorite, and third, the Pineapple drink.

As I am a person who enjoys eating spicy foods, and now drinks that are spicy, personally, I don’t think I’ll be getting one of these drinks in the near future. I don’t think that the addition of the chili powder to the refresher drinks was a bad idea, I actually think that the drinks are pretty good, but the next time I go to order a refresher, I will not be ordering a spicy one.
