“Friday Night Lights” (FNL) is the day of the week many DHS students and staff anticipate.
Many love FNL for the lively marching band, peppy cheerleaders, high-spirited football players, and the most sensational student section.
Dallastown students had a concise favorite of three themes for 2024’s student section. Here’s the breakdown of the student section styles.
With excitement and spectacular participation, USA held the first spot.
“[Because] it is something everyone can do easily and have fun with,” says senior Lauren Hazlett.
Passionate responses were received too.
“USA because all the other ones are boring… we do NOT need a blackout and a whiteout,” states senior Jade Bradenbaugh.
In second place was Halloween. Many students enjoyed the Halloween theme.
“You [can] get a wider range of what you can dress up as,” says senior Maddie Brooks.
The annual Beat Cancer game was in third place, always fun and most charitable.
Dallastown’s Beat Cancer game helps aid and spread awareness for children battling childhood cancer, which earns support from the school’s Mini-Thon. “
My favorite theme was Beat Cancer because it supports a good cause and is always a fun game,” says senior Kyleigh Hampshire.
