Mark Koons- Boy’s Tennis

Mark Koons, one of Dallastown’s own social studies and history teachers, is the head coach of the Dallastown’s Boys Tennis team. After playing tennis at Red Lion and in college at Shippensburg University, Koons became a coach in the spring of 1990.

Now Koons coaches alongside Jay Rexroth, an assistant coach and a teacher at Dallastown as well. 

“Our goal is to get better each day,” Coach Koons stated. For his team, having fun and improving who you are as an individual are priority goals for the team for the 2021 season.

As every team is having their share of challenges recovering from a lost season. “We have a fairly young team, so we are playing catch-up as this is the first competitive experience for many of our players,” Koons added.
