The Varsity Baseball coach is Gregory Kinneman.

Gregory Kinneman- Baseball

In his fourteenth year of coaching at the high school level, Gregory Kinneman is in his sixth year of coaching Dallastown’s Baseball team. He was an avid baseball player in high school.
His coaching staff includes Jaron Shimmel, Blake Gladfelter, Steve Wise, Neil Beach, Kraig Conley (the JV Coach), Chris Trout, and Bryant Holtzapple. “We are trying to build better men: husbands, fathers, community members, through the game of baseball,” Kinneman states.
Every year, the goal for the baseball team is to win the 6A State title. In 2017, Dallastown was the District 3 champions and played all the way up to the State Championship finals. Though that is one of Kinneman’s favorite Dallastown coaching memories, he says, “Every year and every team is different and special in their own way.”
That goal was cut short last year due to the CoronaVirus. “The loss of last spring for me was more about the players who lost a season of their high school career and especially the seniors,” Kinneman adds. For the baseball team, the loss of a season also means that many players have not had the experience of a full season at the Varsity level.
Kinneman also shared that the message he preaches to the team is ONE. “This is our slogan for the season. It has a lot of meanings, but most important take ONE MOMENT at a time.”
