The video production committee is a small one but they hold a heavy responsibility. Aly Andrews and Caroline Loughlin (front row) we’re the 2021-22 committee heads.

Video Production Committee

These committee members have a different erspective of our Mini-THON event. Students run around getting footage, conducting interviews, and editing at a computer in order to show a recap video at 7a.m.

The video production committee is advised by Mr. Kinedinst and Mr. Buer. This committee has one of the hardest and most unique jobs out of all of the Mini-THON committees.

Their job is to film fundraisers, make promo videos for the announcements, edit together various videos to be played the night of including push week, and most importantly make the recap video that plays the morning before the reveal.

The recap video is composed of film taken throughout the 12-hour Mini-THON event. They have students walking around with cameras, and other students back in the studio editing. All night long.

The recap video is the hardest part of the committee’s job, Caroline Loughlin, says “we are trying to put together a high-quality video and it can get very tiring towards the early hour in the morning”.

Loughlin also mentions that it gets stressful the closer they get to 6;30am which is when the video needs to be done. It truly takes patients, teamwork, and energy.

It’s all worth it though because the best part is being able to watch the finished recap video in the morning and seeing exactly what they’ve accomplished overnight.

The video always highlights small moments that people may have forgotten about or weren’t able to see.

Loughlin joined the Video production committee because she enjoys helping to make the video and supporting a good cause.

These committee members get a different perspective of the main event so if you’re into technology, are a fast worker, and are good at working with others, the video production team would love to have you join.
