Mrs. Cooper
Mrs. Cooper started her college education at Boston college majoring in Finance but a year later transferred to the University of Virginia with a major in history.
Following graduation from the University of Virginia she attended Colorado State University to obtain her masters in school counseling.
Cooper has been a guidance counselor for 18 years with 3 years being college admissions.
Cooper’s thoughts on student concerns: “Many students are worried about leaving high school. The next step, whether it is college, military, or the workforce can be scary. Take one step at a time and have confidence in yourself.”
Cooper recommends students who plan on attending a four year college to take the SAT or ACT and can use Khan Academy to prepare.
For her students not considering college, she suggests starting to research early on.
