Mr. Boop

Following high school Mr. Boop attended Lycoming College for Criminal Justice and Psychology without a gap year in between. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology he attended graduate school at Bucknell University for school counseling.

Boop has been a guidance counselor for 18 years.

Boops thoughts on student concerns: “one of the biggest concerns is not knowing what to study in college or what career to pursue. My advice is to explore as many career options as possible.  If you find an interesting job or career, ask questions about it.  Devote time to exploring and researching different jobs and career fields.”

Boop recommends college-bound students to take the SAT or ACT, “Students could take our SAT/ACT Prep elective course, students could enroll in a local college-sponsored SAT/ACT Prep course, or they can study online for free at www.collegeboard.org”.

For his students not considering college he suggests exploring as many career options as possible and finding a full-time job that excites you and will keep you interested.
