Dallastown’s Spring Athletic Signing Day 2020-2021
On April 14, five athletes were given the opportunity to continue their sports at a collegiate level.
The Dallastown Athletic Department recognized five athletes who committed to pursue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level on the last signing day on April 14.
This is Dallastown’s third athletic signing day for the 2020-2021 academic year. This event is held to recognize the accomplishments of our own athletes and to sign the National Letters of Intent (NOI).
NOIs is officially binded the student-athletes to their colleges and universities for their next couple years in education and athletics.
The athletes who are signed are as followed:
Jadon Green- Basketball
Green has decided to go to Elizabethtown College to continue playing Basketball at a collegiate level with a plan to major in Business Administration. He has played basketball for thirteen years, and counting. His position is Power Forward. He also plays for AAU and York Ballers as a club team.
“I am more than excited and grateful for the opportunity to play there and spend my next 4 years there. I never thought this day let alone so fast, so it’s truly overwhelming for me to finally say I made it.”
Myra Striebig- Soccer
Striebig has decided to go to Shepherd University to continue playing soccer at a collegiate level for the next 4 years, with a desired major of Education. She’s been playing soccer since she was in first grade. Her position is center defense. She also played for FC Ballyhoo as a club.
“I’m very excited to play soccer in college and to room with my current teammate on my club team.”
Adam DeStefano- Lacrosse
DeStefano has decided to go to Chatham University to continue playing lacrosse at a collegiate level for the next 4 years with a plan to major in nursing. He has been playing lacrosse for ten years. His position in lacrosse is Midfield/face-off. He has played for a club team, HLC.
“I’m excited and ready for a fresh start.”
Will Borden- Rugby
Borden has decided to go to Mount St. Mary’s University to continue playing rugby at a collegiate level for the next 4 years. His desired major is Environmental Science. He has been playing rugby for five years. His position is outside center. He has played club rugby, and he played for West Shore United Rugby.
“I’m very excited to play rugby at the next level and further my education at the same time. The Mount already feels like my home so I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter of my life.”
Colin Hughes- Lacrosse
Hughes is committed to Lebanon Valley College to play lacrosse for the next four years at a collegiate level with a desired major of Math while getting his teaching certification. He has been playing lacrosse since he was eight years old. His position is attack. He played for two club teams, Hereford and Chaos.
“I’m excited for this next step in my life and all the new opportunities along with it, but upset about leaving my childhood behind.”
