Alexa Fisher, Editor-In-Chief

Alexa ("Lexie")  is a senior, and this is her third year on The Beacon staff. She is a Varsity football and wrestling cheerleader, member of National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, mini-THON overall chair, Big Buddy, and on the yearbook staff. Her favorite articles to write are features.

Benjamin Hines was serving overseas in Afghanistan where he was killed in a Taliban attack. The Dallastown community mourns the loss of a great friend and outstanding citizen.

Rubin Sztajer passed away at the age of 94 on March 26. Growing up in Poland in a jewish ghetto, Sztajer survived the holocaust. He often visited Dallastown to share his story and inspire others to be the good in the world.

Students swing their partner around them in an effort to impress the polka judges (aka the gym teachers) during the polka unit in gym. Tricks, flips, stunts, and props were often added to routines to make an impression on the dance floor. Students looked forward to the polka unit in gym every year, going all out to become the champions.
