Desirae Laurino is a Senior here at Dallastown and has been on the Beacon staff for one year. When it comes to writing articles, Laurino enjoys writing opinion and feature-style articles. As for school-related activities, she is involved in Dallastown’s Mu Alpha Theta Club. Mu Alpha Theta is a club where students tutor other students in math-related subjects and classes. Outside of school Laurino enjoys reading any and all types of books, but her personal favorite is A Thousand Splendid Suns. She also enjoys listening to all genres of music and trying new foods from every culture, her favorite type of food is Indian food. Although Desirae has not decided what school she would like to attend, she is planning to attend a four-year university majoring in Psychology after she graduates High School.
