Biden’s First News Conference

President Joe Biden had his first ever news conference on March 25, 2021. During the conference, he spoke of his short-term goals for his presidency. He increased his Covid-19 vaccine goal from being distributed to one-hundred million people in his first one-hundred days of president to two-hundred million people in the first one-hundred days. He’d like to re-open the vast majority of kindergarten through eight grade schools to in person school five days a week. He is working with the pentagon to make over five thousand beds at Fort Bliss in El Paso for incoming immigrants. He said he’s reversing Donald Trump’s immigration policy of deporting migrant children. Vice President Kamala Harris has been assigned to work with Mexico and Central America to stem the amount of migrants coming into America.
