Ava Markel, Co-Editor-In-Chief
Ava is a senior, and this is her third year on The Beacon staff. Aside from serving as Co-Editor-In-Chief, she is a captain of the varsity field hockey team, president of National Honor Society, and a Special Events and Fundraising Committee Head for Mini-THON. In addition, Ava is a member of Student Council, French Club, French National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Big Buddy, and the Intermediate World Language Program. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two golden retrievers. She also loves traveling, running, being outdoors, and reading. Her favorite stories to write are features and news. After high school, Ava plans to attend a four year university and major in psychology.
