Taylor Hicks

Taylor Hicks, Sports Editor

Taylor Hicks is a senior and this is her second year on The Beacon staff. She has also taken on the role of Sports Editor this year. Along with The Beacon, she enjoys playing golf and softball for the school team. After high school, she plans on attending a four-year college to major in sports media. Starting this year, she is excited to start a podcast and continue writing feature and news stories.

Ms. Reynolds, representing the middle school teachers, flips the cone to get her team the first win in the second round of the Battle of the Buildings.

The Dallastown High School drumline brought their musical talents by performing at the 2022 Battle of the Buildings.

The Elementary and DAIS students brought their energy and school spirit to the 2022 Battle of the Buildings.

The DAIS and Leader Heights/Loganville face off together playing tug of war for the last activity for the Battle of the Buildings.

Teams Ketchup and Thunderstruck faced off playing dodgeball for the Battle of the Buildings.

Mrs. Zinn representing the DAIS team was flipping the cone to try to get her team to advance.

Dallastown Elementary and York Township also known for their team name the Submarines, win the 2022 Battle of the Buildings.

Seniors, Hannah Atkinson, Haley Jamison, Chandler Powell, and Connor Barto, as well as Sophomore Carter Lewis play dodgeball in the Battle of the Buildings.

Senior, Connor Barto, makes the game winning shot to give the seniors/sophomores the win.

The 2022, round 2 Battle of the Buildings winner was the seniors/sophomores - team Itis.

Sophomore volleyball player, Kira Lynch, was selected as our Sports Spotlight Athlete. Lynch was voted by her peers for her ongoing, excellent performances on the court in recent weeks.
